the variable of the academic year for students. The stress coping strategies
questionnaire was used to investigate the stress coping strategies which
consisted of (60) items distributed among (6) dimensions: request help from
others, avoiding and escaping, relaxation, problem solving and negative
habits. The results indicated that there were high and middle usage for the
stress coping strategies among the study sample in all the questionnaire
dimensions and there weren’t significant differences in stress coping
strategies due to student’s gender and academic average variables. There
were significant differences in stress coping strategies due to student’s study
level variables in favor of fourth year students. The study recommended that
there should be more concern given to the university student’s adjustment
through conducting, more research and the necessity to provide some
counseling and psychological services for university students especially for
the first year students at the university.
