The study aimed to find out the compatibility of the content of algebra in the mathematics book for middle school with world standards (NCTM, 2014). To achieve this goal, the researcher followed the descriptive - analytical curriculum in his study to find answers to the questions. The research was composed of examining the previous middle school mathematics books. After reviewing former educational studies correlated with that subject, the researcher made an analysis tool (analysis card) relying on algebraic standards by NCTM (2014). They were made up of 5 main fields/ process standards and 43 indicators. They are: the field of algebraic notation, which contains 9 indicators, the field of conjugations, which contains 7 indicators, the field of conjugation representation, which contains 16 indicators, the field of change of conjugation patterns, which contains 7 indicators, and the field of historical development and views of algebra, which contains 4 indicators. It was confirmed to be accurate when shown to a few specialists in mathematics teaching methods. The researcher then analyzed the contents of algebra in the mathematics books for middle school for the year 2021/ 2020. The researcher used the computational averages and standard deviations in processing the data of the study, and concluded that in the mathematics book for the first year of middle school, algebraic notation is the subject with the most accordance with the world standards (NCTM,2014) with a score of 34.7%. In contrast, the lowest is the evolution of algebra with 2.6%. As for the mathematics book for the second year of middle school, the change of conjugation is the subject with the most accordance with world standards (NCTM,2014) with 39.4%. While in the last place is the evolution of algebra with a ratio of 1.2%. As for the mathematics book for the last year of middle school, the topic with the most accordance with world standards (NCTM,2014) was the algebraic notation with 39.1% and the last was the evolution of algebra with 3.5%. The study concluded with several recommendations, such as adding more standards for the book, as some were not included in the world standards (NCTM, 2014) , and developing math books to keep pace with recent developments and trends in the writing of math curricula.
