The Personality Traits and its Relatioship with the Family Adjustment among a Sample of Married Couples in Irbid Governorate

The study aimed to reveal the relationship between the personality traits with the family adjustment among a sample of married couples in Irbid Governorate. The sample of the study consisted of (302) husband and wife, they were chosen availably from Irbid Governorate. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used personality traits scale, and the family adjustment scale. The results of the study showed that more personality traits prevalent among husbands and wives is pattern (ESTJ), followed by pattern (INFP) among husbands, and the pattern (ISTJ) among wives. The level of the family adjustment were high among husbands and wives. The results indicated there was a correlative relationship between the dimension of husband-wife adjustment and personality trait (thinking/feeling), and between the dimension of family- outer perimeter and personality trait (sennsing/INtuition) among married couples.
