The Predictive Ability of Parenting Styles and Self-Efficacy on Cyberbullying Among Teenage Students

Abstract

The aim of study is to recognize the predictive capacity of parenting and self- efficacy against the cyber bullying among teenage students in the public schools at al-Shunah al-Janubiyah in Jordan. The study sample consisted of 75 students who were randomly selected. Forecasting methodology was used to achieve the goals of study. The suitable cyber bullying scale was developed for the purposes of the recent study by reverting to sources available from educational literature and previous studied relating to the cyber bullying. The results of the study concluded that the level of cyber bullying among teenagers in the public school in al-Shunah al-Janubiyah was low with an average 1.60. The level of the self-efficacy among those students was within middle level. The study recommended drafting remedial and preventive extension programs on cyber bullying.
