The Omission of «Noon» in the Qura´nic Sentence
Keywords:
the omission of “noon”, holy QuranAbstract
One of the most important features of the Arabic language is that it
depends on brevity, this is due to the omission for the purpose of reduction.
Omission is clearer in Arabic than other languages.
This paper aims at showing how the Holy Qura’n considered the
speech of the Arabs and what they omit and find heavy. That’s why it used a
descriptive analytical approach from what the grammarians wrote about the
“noon” and what was revealed in the Qura’nic sentence in some verses. It
was clear from the search that the “noon” was omitted in a lot of situations in
the Holy Qura’n as in stopping, addition and so on which gives a fascinating
beautiful rhatoric effect.
