The Reality of Occupational Health and Safety at the Industrial Establishments in Tulkarm Governorate

This study aimed at identifying the reality of health and safety in industrial establishments in Tulkarm Governorate from the employees’ point of view. This identification is assessed through four major coreissues as follows:
The administration’s satisfaction and belief in the application of the rules and procedures of the health and safety meaytres the employees’ commitment to the application of the rules and procedures of the health and safety.the role of the official authorities in the control and inspection of institutions the employees’ satisfaction with the application of the rules and procedures of the health and safety in the establishments where they work.
A study sample of(314) male and female employees in three industrial sectors classified according to Ministry Labor Office in Tulkarm Governorate.as follows: Crashers and stone quarry, Conversion industries, Electricity, Water and Gas establishments.
A ccordingly a set of findings were printedont concerning the statistical differences between males and females with respect to the employees’ commitment to the application of the rules and procedures of the health and safety.
Depending on the resulls of the study the researcher put forward the following recommendations addressed to the concerned authorities:(1) Design traing programs to up date the employees> know low and increase their awareness to apply the health rules, measures and the professional safety.(2) Ensuring the necessity of carrying out the abrupt cheik out inspecting of the industrial establishments to make sure that the general principles of health and professional safety are applied.
