The Academic Obstacles that Face Students at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts /UNRWA in Jordan from the Students’ Perspective

This descriptive study aimed at investigating the academic obstacles
that face students of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts, from
their point of view, in the light of some variables. The sample of the study
consisted of (606) students. A questionnaire of (56) items with four domains
was distributed. The study results revealed that the academic obstacles
were in the medium degree. The results also revealed that there were
no statistically significant differences in the academic obstacles due to
students’ specialization. As for the academic level, there were statistically
significant differences in the academic obstacles in the aspects: studious,
academic counseling, library, and overall degree, in favor to the higher
academic year. Yet, there were no statistically significant differences in the
examinations aspect. Results also revealed that there were no statistically
significant differences of the academic obstacles according to the students’
accumulated average, in the aspects: studious, examinations, library, and
overall degree, meanwhile. There were statistically significant differences
in the academic counseling, in favor of the students with the averages: very
good and excellent.
