Keywords:

This study deals with the historical importance of Jerusalem and its status
among Muslims by highlighting the most important historical and religious
sites located there which represent one of the pillars of the Arab-Muslim
presence and its association with them. The study highlighted Al-Aqsa
Mosque and the Dome of the Rock through the historical sources. Al-Aqsa
Mosque is one of the most important Islamic historical monuments in this
city; it’s the place where Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, ascended
to heaven. It is Islam’s first qebla, and Islam’s third holiest shrine. The rock,
which is located in the heart of Al-Haram Al-Sharif, features the important
Arab-Islamic civilization.
The Study also discussed the importance of these civilization
features, and their value in the hearts of Muslims as well as the historical
developments that have taken place in them. The study comes in a critical
phase for Al-Aqsa Mosque with The Jewish non stopping excavations beneath
it and in the surroundings, in search for a temple. The goal is to falsify and
cover the facts.of these excavations.
These attempts aim to create new realities that are based on false myths
and illusions.
The answer to these excavations can be found in the saying of Dr.
“Ze’ev Herzog,” the Israeli archaeologist: “After seventy years of intensive
excavations in the land of Israel, there was nothing at all, stories of parents
Are just myths”.
