This research is concerned with editing of Hashiatun <Ala Qasidat Dia>
Al-din Al-Khazraji (died 626 A.H.) on prosody by Abi Abdillah Shams Moh>d
bin Hasan bin Ali bin Othman Al-Nawaji (died 859 A.H). In this manuscript,
Al-Nawaji explored types of Alwaw (and), supplying poetic examples and
comparing them with the opinions of renowned syntacticians. He also pointed
out some changes in batching poetic verses. He also discussed the rhythm and
its kinds, diacritics, and flaws, supplying poetic examples composed by himself
and other poets. He also investigated poetic meters which he and other poets
shortened in poetic batches to be easily memorized. The researcher edited
Al Hashiah scientifically. He started his study by a brief introduction about
Al-Nawaji’s life, status among literary men and his writings on the sciences
of Arabic. The research is concluded with biography of scholars and index
of resources.
