Keywords:

This research is based on an important fiqih subject entitled “The Rule
of Banquet in Islamic Jurisprudence– A Comparative Study”. It consists of
seven chapters. The first is allocated to the definition of banquet ;the second to
the explanation of its ruling ; the third to what it is made of ; the fourth to the
explanation of its duration and time ; the fifth to the ruling of responding to
an invitation for a banquet ; the sixth to the ruling of eating ; and the seventh
to the conditions that must be present to attend a banquet. It concludes with
a set of results ; the most important is that a banquet is devoted to the food
exclusively made at the wedding. It also shows that scholars disagree on its
ruling and the ruling of responding to the invitation and eating from the food
made for it. Finally, it indicates that there must be set restrictions available
as conditions for attending a banquet.
