Abu So’od Afandi filled the post of Mufti of Elasatana thirty years, the
longest period for the post of Sheikh al- Islam in the Ottoman Empire,
he live through Sultan Suleiman Elqanoni And oversaw the laws enacted
by Elqanoni. This gives the study particular importance, the study aimed to
review the biography of Abu So’od Afandi and the statement of the importance
of his fatwas to take serious decisions in the Ottoman Empire. The researcher
followed scattered excerpts in different sources of history to achieve the
objective of research based on approach to historical research, and the
descriptive approach, with the analysis as appropriate.
The search includes: Introduction, side addresses covered:
name, birth, upbringing, Jobs, eligibility for an advisory opinion,
character, some of his fatwas, his works, explanation, death, and some of his
poems in Arabic language.
