The Role of Al-Quds Open University in Reinforcing the Values of Palestinian Civil Society in Hebron Governorate

This study investigates the role of Al-Quds Open University (QOU) in
reinforcing or promoting the values of Palestinian civil society in Hebron
Governorate in the light of several variables as: sex, age, residence, major
and academic year.
The subjects of the study consisted of (10000) university students in
Hebron in the academic year 2009 \ 2010. However, a random sample of
(1000) students was selected.
The role of QOU in the reinforcement of values of civil society in
Hebron, as the results indicate, is moderate or within the norm. It counted
an average of (3.53). No statistically significant differences for sex variable
were observed; however, there are differences attributed to other variables
as: age, residence, marital status, major and academic year.
The study presents several suggestions and recommendations that
contribute to the development of the university role in the reinforcement of
values of the Palestinian civil society.
