The Level of Application of the Principles of Governance among Palestinian Banks from the Perspective of the Branches Directors

This study sought to identify how much the principles of Governance are
carried out by the Palestinian banks. To do so, a fifty – two item questionnaire,
including all the principles of Governance was designed. Ninety questionnaires
were distributed to the targeted group, which is the bank branches managers
at the banks operating in Palestine, as they are the instrument through which
the principles of Governance are implemented.
Fifty eight questionnaires were returned and the researcher only used the
valid ones which were fifty two. The data was processed by SPSS enhancing
mean, standard deviation and percentages.
The findings showed that the principles of Governance were implemented
most in the field of boards of directors, by (81.132%) . However, these
principles were implemented least in the sphere of transparency and providing
data, by (70.048%) .
