Level and Degree of Application of Teaching Competencies among Teachers and their relation to Achievement Motivation

This study aimed at determination four purposes:
1. The level of teacher’s proprietary and practicing the teaching
competencies.
2. Examined the relationship between the levels of teacher’s proprietary and
practicing teaching competencies.
3. Examined the significant differences between the means of teacher’s
proprietary teaching competencies due to the level (high\ low) of
achievement motivation variable.
4. Examined the significant differences between the means of teacher’s
practicing teaching competencies due to the level (high\ low) of
achievement motivation variable.
To achieve these purposes, the researcher selected randomly sample
consisted of (279) teachers (142 male, and 137 female). Results revealed
that the teacher’s proprietary teaching competencies levels were up than the
cut– off score (85%), but their practicing this competencies were less than
required mastery level. There were no significant relationship between the
levels of teacher’s proprietray and practicing teaching competencies in all
and in doman. Also, the results show that there were significant differences
between the means of the teacher’s proprietray teaching competencies due
to level of achievement motivation variable in favor of teachers with high
level in achievement motivation. While the results show that there were no
significant differences between the means of the teacher’s practicing teaching
competencies due to level of achievement motivation variable.
