The main purpose of this research is to measure the risks that business
enterprises might face when doing business in Palestine. To achieve this
purpose, the descriptive analytical methodology was employed as it suits
this kind of research. A questionnaire reflecting the main variables of the
research was prepared and distributed to a sample of 120 business men and
50 high ranked government employees in four ministries concerned directly
with economic affairs. The research came up with a main conclusion that- the
overall- business environment in Palestinian territories is considered risky.
When analyzing the two samples independently, the results showed that the
attitudes of businessmen towards the business environment were negative to
some extent, whereas the high ranked government employees showed more
positive attitudes. Finally, the research put forward a set of recommendations,
in various spheres, to improve the overall investment climate in Palestine.
