This study is an attempt to focus on the issue of alienation as a
distinctive quality in the poetry of Sayed Qutub and its impact on his thinking
and poetry. Qutub uses the repetition method in his poetry as a dominant
technique to express the sense of nostalgia. The study concentrates on two
types of repetition: Tarjee' and Tadweem both in words and sentences. It also
illustrates the types of Tarjee' and Tadweem by using examples from Qutub's
poetry.
