Abstract

This study is focuses mainly on the relationship between translation and

globalization in the context of cultural communication showing the conflictive

nature between them. This relationship is characterized by discord and

differences in functions and goals. Translation aims at building connection

bridges between nations and cares for cultural privacy and linguistic identity.

This participates in improving the universal cultural communication.

Globalization tries to remove the dividing line between nations for the benefit

of the stronger side.

It ignores the cultural and linguistic variety on the contrary, these

differences in aims and functions causes a stimulus that encourages translators

to direct the translation compass towards communication between nations

this in turn creates plurality and variety between nations and cultures.
