Political، Economic and Social Effects of the Tunnels Phenomena on the Community in Gaza Strip from the Point of View of the Faculty Staff at the Palestinian Universities

The present study aimed to indentify the political، economical and social
effects for the tunnel phenomena on Palestinian society in Gaza strip from the
point view of the teaching staff in Palestinian universities, and present some
recommendations in order overcome its political, economical and social
effects. The researchers used the analytic descriptive method. The study
tool was a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. It consisted of (33)
items distributed over three domains. The study population consisted of (96)
teaching staff members in the Islamic university, Alazher University, Alqsa
University, Alquds Open University, and Gaza University. The mean for the
total results was (50.30%) this means that the tunnel effects were negative on
Gaza society. The study revealed also that there are no statistically significant
differences due to the academic rank variable. The study showed that there
are statistically significant differences due to university variable, in favor of
the teaching staff of the Islamic university. Furthermore, the study revealed
that there are statistically significant differences due to the gender variable;
in favor of it was for male. In the light of study, the researchers presented
some recommendations.
