Semitic languages Phonetics: Qalqalah Letters and Sounds
Keywords:
Semitic languages, Phonetics, Qalqalah Letters, sounds, pronunciation,Abstract
The research deals with linguistic sounds not only in the Arabic language
but also extends to cover Semitic languages as well. Hopefully, the discussion
on this will highlight important issues pertaining to the topic especially
the vocalization changes affecting this group of sounds and spoken sound
forms. What we need are Semitic studies of the linguistic sounds aiming at
identifying the aspects of this research in terms of sounds exits, qualities and
changes affecting them. The research proposes that the reason of this is due
to differences among linguists of all times in terms of describing these sounds.
It is imperative for this research to pause a little at such difference to reach at
the end a meeting point and identify reasons behind such differences.
