Military Uniform of the Sea Peoples: Analyzing Ancient Egyptian Murals in the City Of Habo
Keywords:
Military Uniform, the Sea Peoples, Ancient Egyptian Murals, City Of HaboAbstract
Natural circumstances did not help in preserving organic materials. So
we have difficulty in delimiting exactly to which people these archaeological
materials belong. Research in ethnic belonging of the people is through
meager indicators or certain signs. One of these signs is the costumes. This
research aims to study the costumes belonging to five men of the sea peoples
(Teresh, Sherden, Tjeker, Pelest and Denyen) . It is one of the bright ethnic
indicators through which we can distinguish one ethnic group from another.
The main sources of this research are the Egyptian written sources and the
murals in the city of Habo, which give us general information about the
general form more than the details
