Multidimensional Anxiety among Football Players in Palestine

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the multi- dimensional anxiety among the

football players in Palestine according to two variables: class and playing

position. To achieve this, the study was conducted on a sample of (280) players

which from (38.8%) of the whole study population (720 players) .

The study used the descriptive method, the anxiety scale and Alawi’s

multi- dimensional design. The results of the multi- dimensional anxiety

showed low percentage of (51.9%) . The results also showed that the anxiety

related to knowledge was the highest rate (68.3%) , followed by the speed

and easiness of emotion in the second rank (44.3%) , and then came the

physical anxiety in the third rank (42.9%) . The results also showed that there

are no statistically significant differences in multi- dimensional anxiety of

football players in Palestine due to the variable of class or playing position.
