Evaluation of the Arabic Language Course Curriculum and Extracurricular Activities at the Faculty of Education in Isra University

This research aimed at evaluating the status of the class and nonclass
activities that are associated to the materials related to the courses
of the Arabic language at the Faculty of Education in Isra University, from
the students’ viewpoint and the lecturers’ role in them. An instrument was
designed to carry out the study, measure the students’ viewpoint towards the
activities, and the students’ viewpoint in the lecturers’ role. The reliability
and validity were both accomplished for the instrument. The instrument was
distributed on a sample of students consisting of 30 male students and 63
female students in the third and fourth years.
The results of the research revealed that the students’ viewpoint towards
the activities and the lecturers’ role were generally medium. Furthermore,
there were no significant statistical differences according to the gender
variable. In addition to that, the achievement average for the students in
these topics, and also practicing the activities was positively attributed.
The researchers had reached a number of recommendations in line with the
research results.
