The effectiveness of Media on Students of Islamic Da'wah and Media at Yarmouk University (Case study)

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of Media Education on students of Islamic Da'wah and Media at Yarmouk University, study sample consisted of (209) students, of the specialty of Islamic Da'wah and Media, in which they were chosen from third and fourth years according to simple random sampling method, the researcher conducted a questionnaire consisted of (31) items, representing (3) dimensions: reasons for activating media education, content of Media Education, and methods of achieving media education. Validity and reliability indicators were extracted; means, standard deviations, and T-test were used to answer the questions of the study, findings of the study showed that the level of media education effectiveness for students of Islamic Da'wah and Media in Yarmouk University ranged between (3.61-3.79), the field of "methods of achieving media education" scored the first rank with the highest mean of (3.79), while the field of "reasons for activating media education" scored the least rank with a mean of (3.61), the mean for the instrument as a whole was (3.69), the results showed that there are no statistical differences (α = 0.05) for the impact of the educational year in all fields and in the instrument as a whole, except in the field of "reasons for activating media education" for the favor of third year students. There are no statistical differences (α = 0.05) for the impact of gender in all fields and in the instrument as a whole.
