Abstract

The Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him – lived as the leader of this nation for so long. He spread the Islamic doctrine and faith as a way of life, governance, and paved the way towards building a strong state based on straight origins. This brief research, as the researcher claims, deals with the most important bases and principles in the field of politics and war, and the state administration. The research has been distinguished by its important title as it highlights an important aspect in the life of the Islamic nation, where it talks about the defense strategy definition within the Islamic political system body, and its legitimacy in Islam, and its relationship to the state administration. It joins the authentic glorious past with the present and the future,  that generations aspires to. At first, it talks about the defense strategy definition in the language and terminology, its position in the state administration and its legitimacy in Islam, and the relationship of this strategy with the state administration and its political, military, security elements, and other state institutions. Then it talks about the levels of defense strategy in Islam, and their applications in the two halves of the state administration, the field one which is called the field strategy, and the national strategy, which is expressed as the supreme strategy of the state. At the end, this research talks about the most important findings and recommendations, that the researcher hopes to be taken into account by political and strategic decision maker.
