The Effect of the Specialized Professional Diploma in Developing Teachers' Professional Competencies in Teaching Classes from 5th to 10th grade in Al-Quds and Ramallah Districts from their Point of View

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of diploma of education program on develoing teachers’ professional competencies. To achieve this purpose the researchers developed a questionaire that consisted of (69) items divided into six domains. It was submitted to a group of arbitrators to ascertain its validity and internal consistency and they approved that.The study was conducted on a sample of (151) teachers who participated in this study from Al-Quds and Ramallah Directorates,which was chosen as a stratified Random Sample.The results of the study revealed that teachers possess as a result of the program over all Competencies means is(82.8%) which is considered very high, also the study revealed that there were significant mean differences due to gender in favor of female teachers, also it reveals the significant mean differences related to place of work in favor of Jerusalem suburb districts. While the other variables of (years of experience, major, and number of trainings) were not significant .The researchers recommended to continue these programs and apply them on all teachers because of their effect on teachers’ professional developmentDownloads
