This study is a comparison between the two poetic divan of Adeeb Naser divan "Zaiti Wazaitoni" My Oil and Olives and Hisham Odeh "Aqtafi Khotwa Thakirati" I Follow My Memory Steps. The study is divided into three parts in addition to an introduction and a preface which include a precise definition of the two poets and a conclusion.
The first part includes the contents of the poems of each divan, similarities and differences. The second part deals with the external form side of the poems of the two divans; the third part is concerned with the form of "The Broken Return". In fact, the two poets lived the same conditions in which they lived in exile for four decades, their return coincides with each other, they were deported once again and both of their divans were published in the same year. In conclusion, the researcher recommended the importance of making researches concerning the poetry of returnee and to follow the different aspects of homeland which was deteriorated by the occupation which has changed its shape the thing which has shaped the poetry of return.
The researcher has based this comparison on the investigation analysis and comparison between the two poets with the aim to point out the similarities and differences between them through a modern critical approach in which he got benefited from the history of historical approach due to its suitability for comparison in addition to certain aspects of social approach taking into consideration that the researcher didn’t totally apply to all the bases of each approachDownloads
