Abstract

This study aims at investigating the effect of using (Blackboard) on developing the skills of recitation and Tajweed of the Holy Qur'an among students of Islamic studies at King Faisal University.  The experimental design was used and the sample of the study consisted of (40) students. The study employed two tools, observation card, and Learning Management System Blackboard. The most important results of the study show there are differences statistically significant at the significance level of (α≤0.05) between the average degrees of the controlling group and the experimental group in the post application of observation card regarding developing the skills of recitation and Tajweed of the Holy Qur'an.  There are differences statistically significant in favor of the experimental group to learn the following two skills, the right way of the Quranic recitation and the application of Tajweed rules. There are no differences statistically significant in learning the following two skills: fluency, and extracting Tajweed rules. The study recommends the need to integrate conventional learning methods with Learning Management System (Blackboard) to develop the skills of recitation and Tajweed of the Holy Qur'an.
