The study reviewed a number of international experiences of family empowerment in the societies that were exposed to certain conditions such as wars, revolutions, or natural disasters like floods and earthquakes.
The study shed the light on the DEEP experience to empower economically deprived families in Palestine. Also, it discussed the empowerment of the families in Egypt after the 2011 revolution and the Bangladesh’s experience of family empowerment to limit poverty resulting from the natural disasters. The research attempts to apply these experiences to empower the families in Syria.
