Abstract

The current study aims to reveal the effectiveness of a proposed unit of study in social studies based on funds of knowledge theory in developing academic achievement and the survival of the impact of learning among fifth-grade primary students at al-Jila School for Basic Education in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the goal of the study, an achievement test consisting of 30 questions was applied to a sample consisting of 28 students. The same test was applied after two weeks of post-application to measure the survival of the learning impact. The results of the study indicated the effectiveness of the proposed unit in developing academic achievement and maintaining the impact of learning among the sample.
