The Tools of Negation, Amal Dungul‘s PoetryAbstract
This study discusses “The tools of negation in Amal Dungul‘s Poetry“
which contradicts the current situation and dreams of what happens in the
future, I.e he herefuse the humiliating situation we are living and hopes of
living in a better future. His poetry has provided me with a lot of experiences,
because it is concerned with one aspect, which is the aspect of refusal
and resistance.
Therefore, I have chosen this poet and his tools of negation because they
are the means of expressing refusal in different ways.
The study came into two levels: the first is the theoretic a level, which
focuses on the grammar books, and the second one is through Amal Dungul‘s
Poetry.
This study connects the old and the modern in order to reach the concepts
of refusal and resistance.
We have noticed that the poet didn‘t use all tools which are: la, laysa, Ma,
Lam, Lan. His use varies from one tool to another.
In conclusion, Amal Dungul‘s poetry constitutes a poetic formula because
he discusses the tools of negation from its lexical limitations to its
contextual roles, which proves that his poetry is a poetry of resistance.
