This study is about a new cultural subject related to Al-Quds in the tenth
century of Hijra / sixteenth century A.D. which is a feature of the intellectual
life in Jerusalem.
The subject has been studied under nine headings: construction,
education, Sufism, migration of scientists to Al-Quds, keenness on burning
deaths, literary travel, literature of virtues, poets, praise to Al-Quds, and the
relations of Moslems with free non-Moslems.
These fields have covered the important aspects of the intellectual life in
Al-Quds religious, earthly role in this era and its relevance to the Turkish
era with all its specialties that were played by the city in the local and Islamic
social life in different phases.
