Abstract

Objectives: This research aims to explore the artistic and aesthetic potentials of installation art in expressing the Palestinian issue through an analysis of the works of artist Mona Hatoum. The study seeks to identify how this art form can effectively convey political and social messages and enhance international awareness of the Palestinian cause by revealing the meanings and implications associated with Hatoum's works.

Methodology: The methodology is based on the analysis of a selected range of Hatoum's works, with data collected from various sources, including interviews and academic articles.

Results: The findings demonstrate that installation art possesses a unique ability to create complex sensory experiences that reflect feelings of loss, displacement, and resistance. These works also foster international dialogue regarding the Palestinian issue, allowing audiences to engage with the various dimensions of suffering and hope.

Conclusion: The research concludes that Hatoum's works embody multiple significations related to Palestinian identity, land issues, and displacement. These pieces serve as a powerful artistic tool that innovatively reflects the suffering of the Palestinian people, thereby enhancing a profound understanding of the cause. Further studies are recommended to explore the impact of this art on public and political awareness and its potential role in supporting the Palestinian cause on an international scale.
