Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the kindergarten teachers’ perceptions about practicing their teaching skills related to teaching kindergartener in Jordan in light of gender and experience. The sample of the study comprised (159) teachers who were teaching in the capital of Jordan, Amman. The researchers developed a questionnaire consisted of (53) items. The findings revealed that the mean of teachers› perceptions of their teaching skills were rated high. Planning domain was rated by teachers in the first rank, secondly facilities and activities, whereas the evaluation and the introduction came in the last rank. However, the findings indicated that there were significant differences at (a=0.05) between teachers due to the experience in favor of long experience (10) years, and there were significant differences (a=0.05) between teachers due to the number of workshops between teachers in favor of teachers who have been participated in (3) workshops or more.
