This study attempts to shed some light on Basha‘s transcripts
Of al-ahruf al-sab“ah (seven modes in the Quran).
It is basically comprised in an abstract , three chapter and a conclusion .
In chapter one (the introduction) the researcher has done his best to reveal
the unique nature of the Quran akin to the seven modes and put forward a
number of explanations of Basha‘s viewpoint regarding these modes .
In chapter two, the researcher has offered a glimpse of the biography of
Basha and addressed the transcript and its significance .
In chapter three , the researcher has scrutininized the intended message
the author wanted to convey.
The researcher is self-motivated for doing such a study for the following
reasons: first, he is intensely curious about Islamic rich heritage of
transcripts, and hence conduts this study to bring into focus one of these
transcripts, i.e.
Basha‘s so that it will not be consigned to oblivion. Secondly, Basha‘s
point of view on the seven modes in the Quran is intriguing, and merits an
investigation.
In the concluding part, the researcher states five core points to be taken
into account when talking about the seven modes of the Qur“an.
