The Direct Economic and Social Impacts of the Racist
Separation Wall upon the Palestinian Arab people
This research endeavors to unravel the direct economic and social impacts
of the racist separation wall upon the Palestinian Arab people. The results
show that the direct economic and social impacts of the wall encompassed
all West Bank governates. But Qalqilia, Salfeet, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jenin,
Tulkarem, and Ramallah were the most affected areas. The main economic
impacts included the loss of arable and, which is the main source of local
income, the closure of economic facilities, and the cessation of work in Israel.
The aftermath of the separation wall on the agriculture included the loss of
arable land and water sources, forfeiture of pastures, and the fallback of the
animal sector. The social consequences included the worsening of health
and education services, displacement and separation from families and
relatives.
