Abstract

Corporate governance has become one of the main pillars of modern economies. Therefore, in this study we will be investigating and looking back at some of the financial crisis’s over the recent years such as the 1990s financial crisis of public joint stock companies, Asian financial crisis at the end of the 1990s, the mortgage crisis of 2008, which affected the UAE in general and Dubai in particular among the rest of the world. It is important to put into force the rules and principles of corporate governance. The topic of the research was to tackle the Emarti Legislation and its position from activating corporate governance in shareholders companies and attract investment, in addition the legislation has to consider that corporate governance should be applied on all kinds of corporations whether family business or large corporates which include locals and foreigners and is financially independent
