Abstract

This research aims to show the concept of Islamic identity, its sources,its components and its important to Muslim minorities and suggests the most important challenges facing the Islamic identity of Muslim minorities in the world. The study indicated that the national Islamic identity is based on a set of pillars that entail the following: doctrine, Sharia, language. Ethics, history and heritage, in addition to reasoning, and culture of the Islamic nation. There are a lot of impediments that face Muslim minorities in the West with respect to their commitment to their Islamic identity, and the most prominent impediments entail doctrine, language, lack of knowledge of the Islamic nation history, heritage, culture and value.
