This study examines the interaction of religious texts of Quran, Old
Testament, and New Testament with modern poetic texts particularly in the
poetry of Amal Dongol. Sometimes this interaction is manifested through
direct quotes, sometimes through circumlocution, and sometimes through
intertextuality. This occurs either by using the symbol partially or wholly in
the poem .
