Organizational Climate at the Ministry of Youth & Sports in West Bank from the Perspective of Employees: An Analytical Study

The main aim of this research is to explore the attitudes of employees in
the Ministry of Youth and Athlete towards the organizational climate in
general and its six dimensions: organizational structure and relationships ,
managerial and leadership styles, communication patterns, authorities and
decision- making , motivation system , and the opportunities for promotion
and career advancement, in particular. To achieve this aim, descriptive
analytical methodology was employed as it suits the present research. A
questionnaire reflecting the main variables of the research was prepared
and distributed to a sample of 150 employees . The research came up with a
main conclusion that the attitudes of employees towards the organizational
climate and its six dimensions was negative in general.
A conclusion was also reached that there is no significant difference
between the attitudes of employees towards organizational climate relating
to the variables of sex , age ,qualifications , field of study , the way of
recruitment into the ministry , ministry divisions and directorates . The
research identified significant differences in employeess attitudes towards
organizational climate relating to the variables of experience (in favour of
those with 9 to 11 years of experience) and job title (in favour of directors,
general directors and deputy directors). The research found that Jericho
followed by Salfit were the most directorates having positive attitudes towards
organizational climate as compared to other directorates. Finally, the
research put forward a recommendation to improve all over organizational
climate so as to enhance the employeess efficiency and effectiveness.
