This article is an attempt to find points in which history and Arabic-
Islamic literature meet in the works of the modern Arab thinkers. The
researcher chooses the Iraqi historian thinker and writer Professor Emad
Al- Deen Khalil as a model for his great role in the formation of a civilized
vision in the rooting of the historic, literary works. The researchers deals
with historic- literature approaches and their roles in reserving the cultural
memory by the methodological starting points which the history and literature
depended on, explaining their attitude toward time’s tools.
