Abstract

This article is an attempt to find points in which history and Arabic-

Islamic literature meet in the works of the modern Arab thinkers. The

researcher chooses the Iraqi historian thinker and writer Professor Emad

Al- Deen Khalil as a model for his great role in the formation of a civilized

vision in the rooting of the historic, literary works. The researchers deals

with historic- literature approaches and their roles in reserving the cultural

memory by the methodological starting points which the history and literature

depended on, explaining their attitude toward time’s tools.
