Prison in Palestinian Children Writings (2000- 2014
Keywords:
prison, writings, Palestinian children.Abstract
This study is based on an analysis of various forms of creative
literary production by Palestinian children about prisons and prisoners
as a result of several factors such as their perception, implications of
psychological, humanitarian and social factors, which cast a shadow on
the members of society, and their impact on young people who live under
the aggressive nature of Israeli occupation. This involves an image of
darkness of repressive prisons, denying them to exercise their childhood
as innocent children.
The research highlights the children›s struggle as documented in
their writings and their peers, which represents the deprivation and
arrogance of the occupier as a result of their resistance. I shed light on the
sufferings and calamities intended to distort the psychological, physical,
and cultural rights of young prisoners, as well as the negative impact on
the parents and the family.
This study tries to detect the Zionists› practicing of oppression,
torturing and abusing detainees. Despite bad consequences of such
practices, these lead to inflame the spirit of resistance to defend the rights
of childhood.
