Evaluation of Islamic Banks in Jordan during the Global Financial Crisis “Viewpoint of Employees”

This study aims to evaluate the activities of the Islamic banks in Jordan
during the global financial crisis.It also seeks to identify the factors that
have contributed to reducing the effects of the crisis on these banks.Further,
it endeavors to show how these banks were able to protect the customers’
deposits, profits, reserves, investments and funds.The study concluded that the
Islamic banks were minimally affected by the global financial crisis because
of the tools they use and because of their developing abilities to compete.On
the other hand, the study showed that the Islamic banks do need to create new
Islamic devices and develop the existing ones.
The study recommended introducing the Islamic banking system to the
whole world and stressing the importance of applying it all over the world.
In addition, the study also suggested developing the Islamic legislations and
training the Islamic banks’ employees in order to meet the contemporary
needs of customers, create a new Islamic tools, and work to spread the
concepts of the Islamic economy in order achieve international economic and
financial stability.
