The Effectiveness of the Training Program Based on the Brainstorming in Developing the Critical Thinking among 7th Graders.

The present study was designed to explore the effectiveness of the training
program based on the brainstorming in developing the critical thinking among
7th graders. The population sample was (1308) male students in the academic
year 2010\2011 from all the public primary schools of Amman governorate,
whereas, the sample of the current research included (60) male students
divided into two groups: the experimental group included (30) students who
used brainstorming, while the control group included (30) students who used
the normal way of teaching.
The critical thinking test was used to measure the degree of the seven
dimensioned critical thinking skills development: accuracy in testing events,
induction of the evaluation of arguments, deduction, differentiating between
opinions.
The statistical analysis used by the researchers in identifying these
resources included: standard deviation (t- test) , and Cronbach Alpha. Results
showed a significant difference at (a ≤ 0. 05) on students in developing their
critical thinking by using brainstorming in the favor of the experimental
group.
