Abstract

This paper tries to shed light on the status quo of the Arabic language and the internet by focusing on efforts exerted in programming and processing the language phonological, morphological, semantic and lexical systems in order to facilitate the transmission of knowledge and acculturation.

The researcher has particularly focused on the machine lexical issue by evaluating the extent to which researchers and academic faculty have reached in introducing the Arabic language into the digital era, and their effort to utilize the great opportunities offered by the internet in order to consolidate mechanisms for updating the Arabic language and its contribution in the transmission of digital knowledge in a way that promotes our identity and emphasizes cultural partnership in globalization.
