Work Stress Coping Mechanisms, Indicators, and Results among Administrators Working at the Universities in Hebron District

This study aims to explore the relationship between time waste and
work stress. Indicators, results, and the methods of handling work stress
were also given.
The sample of the study consisted of 130 employees working at the universities
administration’s in Hebron. The researcher used 8 items questionnaire
to determine the influence of the time waste on work stress. Furthermore it
includes 21 items to determine the importance of certain indicators, results,
and the methods of handling work stress.
The results of the study were as follows:
1. There are significant differences in work stress due to each item of the
following factors: ( time wastes and methods of handling work stress ).
2. There is a positive relationship between work stress and each of the following
indicators: irrational defensive situations, uncooperative employees
and unsupportive immediate supervisor.
While there is a negative relationship between work stress and each of the
following indicators: work overload, inaccurate decisions and inefficient
work.
3. There is a positive relationship between work stress and each of the following
indicators: turnover, job dissatisfaction and low productivity;
While there is a negative relationship between work stress and each of the
following indicators: absenteeism, loyalty and commitment and failing
reach work site on time.
