A Comparative Study of the Translations of Quran Verses and Conveying their Original Meaning: Al- Kursi Verse as an Example

The study examines the translation of Ayat Al- Kursi in the six most
known translations of the Holy Quran, observing the translation in terms
of accuracy in meaning and style; highlighting the disparity between these
translations down to trying to devise some judgments about these translations.
The study was conducted due to the importance of subject. Tried to present
the seven exposures used in the study and these are: the concept, types and
rules for translation of Qur’an. Presenting the various translations is the
main subject in this study then a simplified explanation of Ayat Al- Kursi is
finalized by displaying the main theme which is showing the negative and
positive aspects of these six translations. The study ends with a conclusion and
recommendations, together with bibliographic references.
