This study approaches one of the most important Linguistic issues. It
tackles communication which is naturally facilitated by a certain human
language that enables people to pass their knowledge and experiences, and
to express their thoughts and desires. Man is likely to have some special
capabilities to develop such a linguistic variety to cope with the great changes
taking place within human communities.
Any human language- for one reason or another, whether consciously
or subconsciously, may have some disorders that need special care from
linguistics. Remedy procedures aim to help people not only dismiss the
language difficulties they already encounter but also isolate the negative
effects that always accompany such difficulties. Besides, procedures further
patronize some assistance that enable such population to become good
members in their communities.
As mental disorders have spread out greatly, I made up my mind to
explore and diagnose this phenomenon. Therefore, aphasia will be first
defined. The physiological, psychological and social causes of aphasia will
be next identified. Certain types of aphasia such as Broca’s, and anomic
aphasia, phonological and surface dyslexia will be explained and exemplified.
The prescriptive analytical method has been followed in categorizing and
diagnosing these disorders.
