Effective Employment of Popular Proverbs in Belated and Immediate Achievement of Eloquence at Secondary Stage

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of popular proverbs in
teaching eloquence to female students at secondary stage on immediate
and belated achievement.To achieve this , the researcher depended on the
experimental method and selected a random sample of (67) female students
from the two groups (control & experimental) .
The researcher depended on the experimental design for the two groups.
The first one: former experimental measurement, then remedy followed by
immediate measurement then later measurement.As for the second group or
control one: former measurement, then belated measurement.
As for the tools of the study , the researcher has prepared an achievement
test in eloquence consisted of (30) items of multiple choice and has also
prepared a guide used by the teacher in carrying out eloquence lessons.The
study came to a conclusion identifying a group of basics to be considered
when popular proverbs are selected and employed.
The outcomes of the study pointed out that there were statistical
significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of
experimental group and average level of students scores of control group in
later achievement test in eloquence which was in favour of the experimental
group with great effect.
The results of the study also indicated that there were statistical significant
differences at the level (0.01) between the average scores of students in the
experimental and later one in favour of later belated one.
At the end of the study the researcher offered some recommendations:
Ministry of Education should introduce a new material on popular literature
and popular proverbs within the curriculum of the public education in all
stages of study.
Moreover , the Arabic language teachers should employ popular
proverbs when teaching the other branches of Arabic language.
