Abstract

The study aims to identify the level of Jordanian private school teachers' participation in decision making and its effect on job satisfaction. The study sample consisted of 202 private school teachers who work at Qasabt Irbid who were selected using a simple random sampling method. To achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire was used. The study showed that the level of private school teachers' participation in the decision-making process was moderate, and that private school teachers' job satisfaction level was also moderate. It revealed a statistically significant positive effect for Jordanian private schools teachers’ participation in decision making on job satisfaction. The study recommends working on conducting seminars that address the effective methods to overcome the obstacles that limit the participation of private school teachers in the decision-making process and which enhance job satisfaction levels.
