The Emotional Intelligence and its Relationship to Self-Efficacy among Secondary Stage Female Teachers in Irbid Governorate

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the level of emotional intelligence and the level of self-efficacy of secondary school teachers in Irbid Governorate, in addition to reveal the relationship between it. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used emotional intelligence scale consisted of (35) items distributed in four domains, and the self-efficacy scale consisted of (23) items distributed in three domains. The study sample consisted of (482) secondary school female teachers in Irbid Governorate. The results of the study showed that the level of emotional intelligence among female teachers was moderate, and the level of self-efficacy among female teachers was moderate. The results also indicated a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy among secondary stage female teachers in Irbid Governorate.
